Cairngorms Putting Green
A golf putting green with a difference is one of the attractions at this top Scottish golf course at Forbes of Kingennie.
The Cairngorms Golf Putting Green at Kingennie Golf Course has been designed to emulate the actual Cairngorms Mountain Range right in the heart of Scotland. Although a test for even the most seasoned golfer, it is also there to help educate children, visitors and locals alike.
Five of Scotland’s nine 4000 ft summits lie within the range, plus a further nine mountains higher than 3,500ft and four more exceeding 3000ft.
There are also two lochs: Loch Avon, which lies at the base of Cairngorm mountain itself, and Loch Einich, which lies at the base of the mountain Sgor Gaoith.
The USGA putting surface allows everybody to play up Glens, Corries, Passes and around Lochs that they may never normally have a chance to do – and all on a Scottish golf course in the gentle Angus countryside, near Dundee.
Where else can you climb 18 Munros, walk 7 Glens and as many Corries, Passes and Valleys in under an hour?
