Forbes Of Kingennie :: Location

Location

The Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort is situated on a stunning lochside location in beautiful Angus countryside on Scotland's picturesque East coast just a few miles from the city of Dundee, ‘City of Discovery’ – with world famous Carnoustie Golf Links nearby too. Dundee has the largest indoor shopping centre on the east coast of Scotland.

Situated minutes away from the A92, on-site facilities include restaurant, bar, trout fishing, golf course, putting, maze, playpark and three-pool aquarium.

Kingennie is just six miles by road from Dundee which is itself well connected by road, rail and air. Major road networks link the city to Aberdeen (65 miles), Perth (23 miles), Edinburgh (62 miles) and Glasgow (82 miles). Dundee airport offers direct flights to London City Airport.

Golfing enthusiasts could scarcely pick a more ideal location, with world famous golf courses nearby at Carnoustie and St Andrews and over 30 quality golf courses within an hour’s drive.

And the estate is less than an hour's drive from the superlative Angus Glens for those who want to enjoy some of the best hillwalking in Scotland.

Forbes of Kingennie is secluded enough to be a rural retreat and yet close enough to towns, cities and motorways that the entire country is accessible. Scotland has many treasures beyond the picture postcard image of rolling hills and heather, and the picturesque east coast contains many sites of historical importance well worth a visit.
