The Forbes of Kingennie holiday lodges and glamping huts have a peaceful rural setting, with Dundee just five miles away, making the ideal place in which to base your family holiday, whether it’s for fishing, golfing, other sporting activities or just relaxing.

Our luxury self-catering lodges take their names from the spectacular Angus Glens which lead into the Grampian Mountain range, North of Kingennie.

All of our accommodation is equipped to the highest standards and are set amidst an enchanting woodland or waterside area, a short walk away from our main reception. Located near to the Scottish East Coast, the area offers a number of visitor attractions and plenty for all the family to see and do. Nearby there are a number of excellent restaurants and bars.

Cleaning & Servicing

All of our accommodation is professionally cleaned thoroughly between lets and continuously maintained to the highest standards as you would expect. In order not to intrude and let you enjoy the privacy and tranquility of your stay at Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort, we do not service the lodges or Shepherd Huts during your stay.

However, our reception is always on hand for you to request any extra comforts you may require during your stay.

All of the beds in our lodges are made prior to arrival and a set of towels per person are also provided.

Don't just take our word for it...

On the road trip through Scotland, we were supposed to stay there only 2 nights. But Forbes of Kingennie casted a spell on us and we changed our plans to stay an entire week.
Everything was great: the lodge, the jacuzzi, the place around, golfing, fishing. The food was also fantastic. Cherry on the cake, the staff was so nice and kind.

We have just got home from our 6 night stay at Forbes of Kingennie, and had the most fantastic stay. Everyone was incredibly friendly and willing to help and go the extra mile which really made the difference. The food in the restaurant was fantastic for both adults and kids, would highly recommend. It was a beautiful and peaceful setting allowing you to unwind surrounded by nature, and great views. It was great having the small park on site for the children, and we could watch them out the window, which was perfect! The maze and putting green were also great fun, and we enjoyed some lovely walks too.
The lodge itself was spacious and clean, and the hot tub was a winner for everyone.
It was a great location as a base for various trips, but most importantly a cosy and peaceful place to return to. Would definitely recommend.

While in Scotland we were lucky enough to stay at Kingennie. The resort is absolutely beautiful and accommodations were top notch. The grounds are gorgeous and incredibly well kept. Each lodge was beautifully decorated, each with its own personality, and homey feel. The staff was incredible, never hesitating to go above and beyond. The food and bar were amazing!! We could have definitely stayed longer!
