Our response to COVID-19

The safety and wellbeing of our team and guests is always our highest priority. With that in mind, we have been busy behind the scenes putting together new procedures and processes to protect everyone against COVID-19.  We hope that our high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, along with our new procedures around protecting you and our team from COVID-19, establish your trust and confidence and allow you to enjoy your time at the resort.

Below we have created an overview of our new procedures, so you can rest assured in the knowledge that we are there for you.

Lodge Procedures

Before you travel

You may want to pack:

  • A face mask/covering – these are not mandatory for guests at our resort and it is a personal choice to wear one. We also have masks available in the resort.
  • Disposable gloves if you like to use them.
  • Travel hand sanitiser.

Please don’t travel if you have:

  • A high temperature (37.8 degrees or higher).
  • A new and continuous cough.
  • Shortness of breath.
  • Someone in your party ‘shielding’.
  • Loss of taste or smell.

Check-In Ahead

To ensure a swift and safe check-in we will email you in advance of your stay with our check-in sheets, which include a map of the resort and some information on onsite discounts. We will call you in advance of your stay to take your security deposit. We won’t be able to offer any early check-ins or late check outs as we need to allow our housekeeping team maximum time to clean.

Your Arrival

Upon arrival at the resort, our Reception Team, wearing appropriate PPE, will greet you with a warm, socially distanced welcome and will give you your disinfected lodge keys. We will also talk you through our hygiene procedures and about how our facilities are currently, safely running.

Sealed Lodge Doors

You can be assured that every measure has been taken to ensure the cleanliness of your lodges. Not only have we introduced complete room disinfecting measures, but we have some new gadgets too! Our state-of-the-art fogging machines will be used to disinfected the whole lodge in between bookings.  You will find a hand sanitising station at the entrance of each lodge. We have also removed certain gadgets and items, such as guest books, to reduce touchpoints.  Finally, your room will be sealed, so you have the comfort of knowing that no-one has entered the room after it has been cleaned.

Contactless Checkout

Finally, there will be no need for you to check out at reception as you can drop your keys off at our Key Drop Box outside the main reception.

We also ask that you kindly call reception when departing your lodgeto allow our housekeeping to have the longest time possible cleaning the room before the next guest we are due to welcome arrives.

Our Promise to You

We promise you peace of mind with:

  • Our flexible bookings policy. Your dates can be moved easily, free of charge to dates at a similar rate, if coronavirus alters your plans.
  • Excellent value for money. You can get great value for money with our lodge offers.
  • Rigorous cleaning procedures. Our housekeeping team will be implementing enhanced cleaning procedures to disinfect all accommodation and common areas, to maintain strict hygiene standards.

Go on and book your family staycation and get life back on track safely. It’s now time for a safe retreat in Scotland’s beautiful Angus countryside.

Dining Procedures

Socially Distanced Dining & Public Areas

You can tuck in to some home-cooked food with our social distanced dining. This includes sitting out on our veranda, where you can enjoy some alfresco dining or just a sundowner or two. If you would rather find a quiet picnic spot around the resort or to take food home, then you can order from our Take-Away Menu.

We are also increasing the intensity of cleaning in all areas including The Scullery, The Cairn O’Mount bar and our Sports Shop.

We have hand sanitiser stations throughout our public areas, as well as signs to remind guests to socially distance. Our teams have been supplied with portable hand sanitisers and relevant PPE to ensure everyone’s safety.
